Off-Grid Engineer/Builder: Help us refine, design, and build off-grid energy systems and wastewater treatment systems that power and process the flows in and out of tiny homes and common facilities that support them.
Restorative Justice/Community Culture Catalyst: If you have some experience or curiosity around meeting facilitation, conflict mediation and or restorative justice practices as they relate to housing communities, we're hoping to compile a flexible recipe that can support communities to navigate conflict and make collective decisions in skillful ways.
Media Maestro: Help us organize our Social Media outreach, develop a communication strategy. Play with podcast and short-form video production.
Requirements
Neighborship is a newly formed nonprofit dedicated to affordable housing in the form of Tiny Home Communities. We are seeking collaborators. There is a new law change that makes Tiny Homes legal in Oakland. We also have a 6-year-old Tiny Home Community space in West Oakland that needs to evolve into the new legal paradigm. There's lots of very interesting work to do. The arrangement can be mostly remote, flexible and customized to your internship needs. Open to current undergrad and graduate students.
